Our Admission Process

PGPA seeks to enroll students with an appetite for learning and excellent academic potential who will contribute to the school community.

Thank you for your interest in Power And Grace Preparatory Academy. We appreciate the opportunity to introduce you to our academically challenging, Christ-centered school, where we are Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders! Admission is open to students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin who are looking for a Christian environment with an emphasis on teaching Biblical principles and truths along with strong academics.

The following is a list of procedures that will guide new students applying for admissions to Power and Grace Preparatory Academy.

Academy

  • 1.Submit Application: Start by completing the school’s application form.
  • 2.PGPA will call to set up your student’s Academic Screening
  • 3.Receive Letter of Acceptance
  • 4.Create an Application Account
    You will have the flexibility to log in and out off the application account without losing data as it will auto save. There will be a green check mark for each section once you have completed all required fields.

  • 5.Review and Submit & Pay Application Fee
    Once all required fields of the application are complete, you must select “Review & Submit”. Then you will be instructed to pay the application fee of $175. The application fee covers the tour, testing and testing results.

  • 6.Request/Submit Required Documents. 
    Please be sure that all required documents are provided to the admissions office:

    • Student Photo
    • Last Year’s Final Report Card
    • Current Year Report Card
    • Student Handwritten Letter (4th Grade &Up) on why he/she would like to attend PGPA
    • Educational/Diagnostic or Psychological Evaluation Results, if applicable

    Once your student’s application is received, the Admissions Coordinator will contact you to schedule screenings and evaluations. 

    • Screening dates for Pre-K – K will be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:45am – 1:00pm
    • Screening dates for upper school will be the same days after school only at 3:30pm – 4:30pm

    The Admissions Coordinator and Principal will determine if the applicant is accepted to school. The Parent will be notified within 24 hours if all documents have been received to make a determination. Once accepted into school, parents will begin the enrollment process.

We are currently conducting open enrollment.

Additional Tips:

  • If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the admissions Coordinator for clarification.
  • Make sure to arrive on time for your scheduled screening and tour.
  • Ask questions during the tour to get a better understanding of the school’s environment and programs.

Applicants must submit payment for screening prior to testing via check, card, or money order payable to PGPA.

Disclaimers

  • All applicants entering PGPA must be potty trained and able to use the restroom unassisted, including all preschool students.

  • All applicants must meet the Birthdate requirement as followed.

  • Pre-K 3 must turn 3 years old by Aug. 15

  • Pre-K 4 must turn 4 years old by Aug. 15

  • Kindergarten must turn 5 years old by Aug 15

Failure to disclose all academic, social/emotional, or discipline information for the applicant may result in automatic denial of the applicant. Upon acceptance, the enrollee may not be able to continue as a student of PGPA, if parents are not forthcoming with all applicable information. Answering “yes” to any of the above does not preclude the applicant from enrollment.
