S.T.E.A.M
At Power and Grace Preparatory Academy (PGPA), we use a specific focus of education referred to as STEAM learning.STEAM learning is very important because these five disciplines are used in everyday activities. They promote problem-solving skills along with creative and analytical thinking. In addition, many of the jobs that affect our economy include STEAM subjects.
Music/Drama/Art
We are happy to provide artistic activities for our children. Artistic activities foster intellectual development and some of their benefits are: Stimulates both sides of the brain. Increases the capacity of memory, attention and concentration. Students participate in 50 minutes of music classes per week as part of the general curriculum. Topics include history of music, music appreciation, creative writing, dramatic skits and plays, and the hands-on use of instruments including drums, recorders, and xylophones to name a few. In addition, students will participate in other extracurricular programs.
Library Science
Students participate in this important academic discipline of library studies as it emphasizes the importance of preserving knowledge and promoting literacy. We apply the practices and tools of management, information technology, and education to our library.
